Just before IBC, we decided on a strategy to extend the range of products and services that we can offer to the industry.
So, my main objective at IBC this year, was to source quality products for the South African market.
We are pleased to announce that Visual Impact SA is now the approved agent for the following products:

E-Image.
A new range of tripods manufactured to the highest of broadcast standards, at very reasonable prices. The range includes fluid heads, with variable drag, aluminium and carbon fibre legs, spreaders and carry bags, dollies, boom stands, and C-stands. The tripod range includes 75mm, 100mm and 150mm bowl diameters, and extends from load capacities of less than 5 kgs, right up to 110kg.

This multimedia live production video switcher had heads buzzing at IBC. It's portable, and seamlessly integrates input from up to 6 broadcast video cameras, video clips, still images, graphics, titles and even Powerpoint. The outputs can be routed simultaneously to a projector, video recorder and the Internet. All in one compact case. Ideal for small studios, OB vans and fly-away kits.

My impression of IBC ? (by Alan Worsley)

To be honest, I stuck to my plan at IBC, so much that I didn't get to attend the conferences this year. But for me, it was mission accomplished!
Many of these products we have already integrated and started using ourselves, in our rentals division, as well as at The Media Hive in Cape Town. We only sell high quality products, and we test them extensively ourselves, to make sure that they can be relied upon in the field.
