- What is Solid State?
- Solid State (tapeless) workflow is a process where the raw footage is directly transferred from the memory card onto a hard drive. Visual Impact provides the software and the equipment to perform solid state (tapeless) workflow and to transcode the raw footage into a workable format.
- Why do people need this service?
- The industry is constantly changing, so adaptation needs to take place. This is a new process and not everyone is familiar with how it works or has the expertise to work the software and equipment that comes with the solid state workflow process.
