Smoor Verlief
Smoorverlief (Head over heels in love)is an upcoming MNET (www.mnet.co.za)commissioned Short film, Proudly sponsored by Visual Impact and the Swellendam Municipality. The film is a period thriller set in 1967 about Ben Kellerman (Drikus Volschenk) and Antoinette (Chanelle de Jager) who are getting married but for all the wrong reasons. Once on their honeymoon Antoinette gets kidnapped and left in an unknown place, as we then watch Ben’s fight to find his wife.
The film is shot alongside the beautiful overberg mountain range in the Western Cape, at locations like the “The Klippe Rivier Guest House”( http://www.capestay.co.za/klipperivier/ ), “NG kerk Swellendam” and many more amazing places in the area. The film will be out on the MNET channels from April 2009. So get ready because the fun is only starting – Gerhard Ehlers (Director).
